May Monster Month

Admit it, we love monsters. Since the dawn of the story, humans have had crazy tales of larger than life monsters and creatures that either destroy or help shape our world. And on May 16, 2014, the King is coming back to the big screens.godzilla poster new

In honor of Godzilla’s reboot film, from May 1 through 16 we’re going to be counting down some of the best (and worst) giant monster movies out there. It could be fun, or scary, or animated, or life action. Doesn’t matter. If it has a monster (giant or otherwise), we’ll take a look at it and see how it ranks.

THE RULES: Look, we love monsters as much as the next guy, but frankly there are A LOT to choose from. So, here’s what we’re going off of.

1. The Monster has to be BIG. Sorry all you Troll 2 fans, you won’t be seeing those here.

2. Seen or unseen, the Monster DOES have to be a significant part of the film. We all love the Balrog from Fellowship of the Ring, but frankly from the time you see it till its inevitable doom, it’s like two minutes total (we know we know, it feels like an eternity. But trust me, we counted).

3. The Monsters don’t HAVE to be “bad.” Sure we’ll have your healthy recommended dose of brick-smashing, human killing, city destroying monsters but come on, there are some nice guys out there too!

And that’s it! Got a movie monster you wanna see Cut Paste Print review? Sound off in the comments and let us know!
